World Hypertension Day

THE SILENT KILLER: WORLD HYPERTENSION DAY!

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, often has no symptoms but can lead to serious heart disease and stroke. The only way to know is to get checked! Today, we encourage everyone to:

• Know your numbers: Get a BP screening.
• Reduce salt intake.
• Stay active.

Take control of your heart health today for a longer, healthier tomorrow.

World Hypertension Day – 17 May 2025

We invited you to join us in this year’s World Hypertension Day global hypertension awareness celebration on May 17, 2025, with the theme, “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer!”

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is the primary and most common risk factor for heart disease, stroke and renal diseases. It is estimated that one in six people worldwide, or nearly one billion, are affected by high blood pressure, and it is estimated that this number will increase to 1.5 billion by 2025
