IPOD 2026: PEOPLE — The heart of everything we do!
Get ready to celebrate the International Prosthetics and Orthotics Day (IPOD) on 5 November!
This year, our theme is PEOPLE — a reminder that behind every prosthetic or orthotic device, every service, and every innovation, there is a person whose needs, choices, rights, and aspirations must be at the centre.
Our theme draws inspiration from the World Health Organization’s 5P framework, which places People at the centre, alongside four interconnected pillars: Policy, Products, Provision, and Personnel. Together, these pillars help guide efforts towards equitable access to assistive technology for everyone, everywhere.
This IPOD, let’s celebrate the people who use prosthetic and orthotic services, the professionals who provide them, and the communities working together to advance access, inclusion, dignity, and participation for all.
